This yarn is 100% authentically British, made using wool reared, sheared and spun in the British mainland. It has a low carbon footprint and helps to support British wool farmers. Not only that, but it is a real delight to work with – something like a cross between BFL and Polwarth wool, with a lovely smooth handle, a soft drape, and a slight halo. These are absolutely not rough or itchy yarns – be prepared to be converted!
Made with 75% Superwashed British wool and 25% Nylon, the wool fibres have been specially treated before being spun to enable it to be machine washable, therefore will not ‘felt’ when washed. The wool is combined with nylon giving the knitted fabric extra durability and strength making it harder wearing.

A note about colours; digital images plus your screen can alter the colour of yarns slightly. I take pictures in natural light with a digital camera. Please be aware that these are hand-dyed yarns, and although we strive to be as consistent as possible, there may be variability through the skein, especially with more complex colours. That’s the beauty of handmade!
